1Pick a model

Each model assembles differently. Pick one and set the dimensions: the template recalculates instantly.

Finger joint (laser cut)

Folding carton

2Box dimensions

Work with outer dimensions (how big the box is) or inner dimensions (what fits inside).

Material and machine

Measure it with calipers: "3 mm" MDF is usually 2.7–3.2 mm, and that error ruins the joints.

How much material the beam removes. Typical: 0.10–0.20 mm on 3 mm MDF, 0.15–0.25 mm on acrylic.

Smaller fingers grip tighter but take longer to cut.

Cut one test corner first: if the finger goes in with firm hand pressure, the kerf is right. Loose? raise it 0.05 mm. Too tight? lower it.

Box and dieline template generator: how it works

This box template generator turns three dimensions into a production-ready file. It ships a catalog of models and each one recalculates instantly: pick the one you need, set length, width and height, and download the dieline as SVG or DXF, no sign-up and no watermarks.

There are two families. Finger joint boxes (box with lid, tray and divided organizer) are laser cut in MDF or acrylic: the generator computes the joints on every face and compensates your machine kerf for a press fit. Folding templates (tuck end box, sleeve and pillow box) are die-cut in carton and come with cut and fold lines on separate layers, the way any shop expects them.

Use it for gift boxes, product cases, desk organizers, coin banks and any rectangular box in MDF, acrylic, plywood or cardboard. You can work with outer dimensions (how big the box is) or inner dimensions (what has to fit inside), which is the most common reason boxes come out slightly smaller than expected.

1
Pick the model

Box with lid, tray, organizer, tuck end box, sleeve or pillow box.

3
Set your material

Real sheet thickness measured with calipers, not the label value.

4

The width the beam removes. Start at 0.15 mm for 3 mm MDF and refine with a test.

5
Download and cut

SVG or DXF with parts nested and cut lines in red.
